Eagle Landing ~ Brown's Creek & Corrotoman River

This 435 acre master planned community is situated on the Eastern Branch of the Corrotoman River which is noted for its well-protected, deep-water harbors and unspoiled crusing grounds off the Chesapeake Bay. Adding to the dramatic natural setting of the forested ridges and valleys, is the long established nesting site of an American Bald Eagle, where great care has been taken to preserve the original habitat for the protection of the eagles.

The rural character of this community of magnificent woodland home sites of 1.5 to 8 acres is safeguarded by protective covenants. Community amenities include the Eagle Landing Yacht Club which overlooks the swimming pool and the pier and boat ramp on Brown's Creek; a play area and two tennis courts on Bald Eagle Drive; and a gated boat/RV storage area off Eagles Trace.

The gracious Eagle Landing Yacht Club is available for some serious entertaining, with gorgeous, columned porches in the Jeffersonian style overlooking the 2-lane lap swimming pool with an 8' deep end, a paved boat ramp for launching into Brown's Creek with 4' ± MLW, and a community pier with temporary slips.

Boating on Brown's Creek leads you into the Corrotoman River, which flows into the Rappahannock River, in turn flowing into the Chesapeake Bay just east of the bridge in White Stone. After entering Eagle's Landing, as you turn into Bald Eagle Drive, you'll notice the new playground on the hill at the corner, and if you look really hard, you can just glimpse the very fine adjacent tennis courts, "the grown-up's playground." Or, if you prefer to take the sedantary route, there are shaded park benches for reading nearby while the youngsters wear themselves out. The Home Owner's Association fee is $550.00 a year as of 2005. There is also a $300.00 Capitalization Fee for all new members of the Association, due at the time of purchase.
